Air Zimbabwe Resumes Direct Harare-London Flights to Capture Diaspora Market

Air Zimbabwe announced promotional fares and schedules for direct flights between Harare and London Gatwick starting July 22, 2026. According to the national carrier's official release, the airline will operate three weekly flights to reconnect the UK diaspora directly with Zimbabwe. The state-owned airline previously suspended the route due to safety concerns, debt issues, and international regulatory bans. Management hopes this relaunch will revive the carrier's finances and boost tourism, despite intense competition from larger African and Middle Eastern airlines.
