Etihad Airways Partners With Fastjet Zimbabwe to Expand Network

Etihad Airways signed an interline Memorandum of Understanding with Fastjet Zimbabwe to integrate their flight networks. The Financial Gazette and Daily News reported that the agreement allows international travelers to book domestic and regional connections across Zimbabwe on a single ticket. This commercial alliance follows years of limited connectivity for travelers visiting major tourist hubs like Victoria Falls. By linking with a global heavyweight, Fastjet aims to capture a larger share of premium international tourist traffic. Yet, the partnership must navigate Zimbabwe's volatile aviation fuel pricing and deteriorating airport infrastructure to remain profitable.
