An estimated three to over five million Zimbabweans in the diaspora wish to return home, but face unspecified barriers, hindering a potential influx of human capital and investment crucial for national development. Addressing these obstacles, such as economic instability and bureaucratic hurdles, is critical for leveraging the diaspora's contributions and strategic advantage, which could boost job creation and investment. Facilitating diaspora return could inject an estimated US$1 billion annually, creating thousands of jobs and stimulating investment in key sectors.
