ZIFA Launches Dream 2030 Strategy for Football Transformation

ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi unveiled the Dream 2030 strategy, a blueprint aimed at reviving Zimbabwean football, DailyNews reported. Speaking to Group Editor-In-Chief Guthrie Munyuki, Magwizi said the strategy will transform national football and restore glory. The launch follows years of administrative turmoil, corruption scandals, and poor national team performances that have eroded fan confidence and sponsorship. The strategy outlines plans for grassroots development, infrastructure upgrades, and professionalizing the league, aiming to attract sponsors and improve competitiveness. The horizon: the strategy’s success hinges on securing stable funding and overcoming entrenched governance issues that have plagued the association. Without addressing internal accountability and transparency, the ambitious plan risks becoming another unfulfilled promise, leaving fans disillusioned.
