Mutapa Fund appoints 11 ZESA board members
The Mutapa Investment Fund (MIF) has appointed 11 board members for ZESA, completing a major restructuring that consolidates ZESA Holdings, Zimbabwe Power Company, and ZETDC into a single utility. The overhaul centralises control of the struggling power sector under MIF, bypassing ministerial oversight. Critics argue that this concentration of power prioritises political loyalty over delivering electricity, deepening the national power crisis.
