NRZ commissions refurbished wagons in Zimasco partnership

According to NewZimbabwe.com, the National Railways of Zimbabwe commissioned 100 refurbished wagons and three locomotives under a US$2.8 million PPP with ferrochrome producer Zimasco. Transport Minister Felix Mhona hailed the innovative financing model, which increases NRZ's operational capacity. However, the railway still faces a massive infrastructure deficit, with decades of underinvestment limiting its ability to support mineral exports.
