Activists Arrested Protesting Constitutional Bill

Seven individuals associated with the opposition MDC T were arrested for allegedly planning a protest against the Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3). The Defend the Constitution Platform (DCP) condemned the obstruction of public discourse on the bill. Police in Harare halted a planned demonstration against the bill, which critics claim could allow President Mnangagwa to extend his term. The opposition asserts these actions infringe upon citizens' rights to assembly and expression.
