Cabinet Approves Integrated Provincial Special Economic Zones Framework

Cabinet officially approved a comprehensive framework to establish Integrated Provincial Special Economic Zones across all ten provinces of the southern African country. Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube presented the strategic initiative to promote balanced economic development and attract foreign direct investment to historically underdeveloped regions. The new structure directly builds upon the existing Special Economic Zones framework currently managed by the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency. Authorities designed the updated policy to accelerate nationwide industrialization and promote balanced economic development across the nation. The national government must now secure adequate infrastructure funding to make these newly designated provincial economic zones fully operational and highly attractive to international corporations.
