Zimbabwe Wins UN Security Council Seat

Zimbabwe secured a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council on June 3, polling 182 out of 191 votes in the UN General Assembly. The victory marks the country's third stint on the world's most influential peace and security body, following previous terms in 1983-84 and 1991-92.
