Parliament passed Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 for a second time on Tuesday. The vote sends the measure to President Emmerson Mnangagwa for assent.
The National Assembly adopted Senate-proposed amendments without recorded opposition. The bill now awaits only the presidential signature to become law.
Mnangagwa has 21 days to sign the bill after receiving it from Parliament.
