Second Arrest Made in Russia-Ukraine Recruitment Scheme
Police arrest a 36-year-old man in Zimbabwe accused of recruiting five young men to fight for the Russian military in Ukraine. Authorities report the arrest on June 29 and confirm a Russian accomplice remains at large. The operation targets a recruitment pipeline connecting Zimbabwean nationals to foreign battlefields. This case follows the recent court appearance of Edward Kachingwe on similar charges. A Harare magistrate remands Kachingwe in custody and directs him to apply for bail at the High Court.
