Minister Ziyambi orders party to shun amendment opponents

Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi instructed Zanu PF supporters to shun individuals and organisations opposing the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment No. 3 Act. Ziyambi, the architect of the legislation, made the remarks at the 'CAB3 Thank You Rally' at Chakari Grounds. He characterised dissent as an effort to destabilise the nation. He called on all Zimbabweans, including former opponents, to unite behind President Mnangagwa's economic agenda now that the amendment is law. The amendment suspends the 2028 elections and vests the executive with enhanced powers to revise the constitution unilaterally. Ziyambi said the country will not tolerate people who seek to reverse the constitutional changes.
