Opposition challenges term extension in Constitutional Court

Opposition figure Vhurande Mahlupeko filed an application with the Constitutional Court seeking to nullify the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Act. Mahlupeko, a National Constitutional Assembly executive member, cited Parliament, President Mnangagwa, Attorney-General Virginia Mabiza, and Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi as respondents. The application challenges the legality of the amendment that postpones elections and extends presidential tenure.
