Sandawana confirms 40 million tonnes of lithium

State-owned Mutapa Energy Resources confirmed nearly 40 million tonnes of lithium resources at its Sandawana Mine in Mberengwa. CEO Innocent Rukweza announced a JORC-compliant assessment verified 39.9 million tonnes of lithium resources on Block A alone. Block A represents only a portion of the total mining concession. The confirmation positions Sandawana as a significant lithium asset within Zimbabwe's expanding mineral sector. The assessment provides a standardized resource estimate that meets international reporting standards for mineral deposits.
