Ncube presents 2026 mid-term budget
Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube presented the 2026 Mid-Term Budget Review in Parliament on Thursday, announcing that Treasury would not allocate a supplementary budget as it has sufficient fiscal space. He pledged to maintain macroeconomic policies that have underpinned recent stability, projecting growth at 6% and FDI at US$965 million. The review follows improved macroeconomic indicators and the government's reform agenda, which has attracted foreign investment. Ncube highlighted the theme 'Enhancing Drivers of Economic Growth and Transformation Towards Vision 2030.' The government will focus on sustaining growth and attracting investment for the remainder of 2026.
