Mutapa Fund appoints 11 ZESA board members
Mutapa Investment Fund appointed an 11-member board for ZESA Private Limited, completing a major corporate restructuring that merges ZESA Holdings, the Zimbabwe Power Company, and the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company into a single utility. The new board takes over oversight of the combined entity, aiming to streamline operations and reduce duplication across the power sector. The consolidation eliminates overlapping functions among the three former entities, creating a unified corporate structure for electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. The government expects the restructuring to improve efficiency, attract investment, and enhance service delivery to consumers across the country. The unified utility will now manage all aspects of power supply under one corporate structure, centralizing decision-making and formalizing the restructuring that had been underway for months.
