Kenya blocks Zimbabwean lawyer despite court order

Kenyan security officials removed Zimbabwean lawyer Brian Kagoro from a flight in Addis Ababa on September 15 while traveling to Kenya, despite a Kenyan High Court order allowing his entry. The Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU) confirmed the incident, stating that Kagoro was traveling from Addis Ababa to Nairobi, and the removal was carried out by Kenyan security officials. Kagoro was detained and deported from Kenya in February. Security officials stopped him even with a court order, despite the High Court's directive, and the court order was issued prior to his travel. Kagoro is a Zimbabwean constitutional and human rights lawyer and pro-democracy advocate. The incident occurred on September 15 despite a High Court order allowing his entry.
